Research Paper: Efficacy of plasma-treated water against salmonella
Our research team is active in many exciting areas - including medical and life sciences. In close collaboration, among others with the Basil Hetzel Institute for Translational Health Research in Australia, the Plasmatreat colleagues Daniel Hasse and Thomas Schmitt-John are investigating whether plasma-activated water can combat salmonella.
The exciting results have been published in the journal Antibiotics Issue 12, 1371.
Plasma-treated water (PTW) has emerged as a potential sanitizing agent. This study evaluated antibacterial activity, inhibition of invasion, and biofilm disruption effects of PTW against Salmonella Typhimurium.
