Electromobility in automotive industry
Electromobility, networked and automated driving are the drivers of innovation in the automotive industry. The German automotive industry is pushing the development of electric mobility with great commitment because climate change, the increasing scarcity of fossil fuels and an increased need for mobility by growing population require new solutions and alternative drive systems. Electrified vehicles can make a substantial contribution to environmental protection and to reducing emissions. Therefore, they are an integral part of the diversification strategy of the German manufacturers and suppliers.
The electrification of vehicles is becoming increasingly important and supports the development of the entire system of electromobility. Within this system electric vehicles of plug-in hybrids, range extender vehicles, fuel cell and battery electric vehicles are linked to the energy system and the transport system.
The consequences for quality and quantity of new modules are unforeseeable. As a matter of fact, the production of these units have to be maxed out both price and technology. Aluminum, plastics and especially bioplastics will be the target materials of the future. For the processing of materials optimum bonding technology must be ensured. Adhesives and Sealants require a clean and active surface.
Other components require a functional layer: the AntiCorr coating technology carries a corrosion inhibiting layer on different metals so that they are protected against corrosion and then glued in subsequent processes.
