Turkey: Successful market entry at PLAST EURASIA 2009

After the inauguration of its new Turkish representation this autumn, Plasmatreat could chalk up a particularly successful market entry at the Plast Eurasia 2009. The international fair in Istanbul serves the plastic industry as the most important platform for the entire Middle East and Central Asia.

As to the subject "Openair® treatment of plastics before the adhesive bonding and painting process“, Hakan Sağkal (President of Plasmatreat MEA), Aziz Karacan (Sales Manager at Plasmatreat Turkey) and Philipp Albertmelcher (Sales & Marketing, Germany) presented to the specialist audience a robot-controlled plasma system using the new RD2004 rotary jet. With its compact design and large plasma reach, this nozzle was developed for the pretreatment of complex 3D geometries on the one hand and for consistent pretreatment of larger surfaces on the other.

Using the treatment of a plastic wheel trim cap as an example, the fair visitors could observe live penetration of the plasma into the particularly narrow depressions of the three-dimensional surface.

The representatives of leading OEMs and supplier companies from industrial sectors such as automotive, injection molding, packaging, household appliances and medicine, followed the efficient and environmentally friendly pretreatment method with great interest. "Our visitors did not only come from Turkey but from the entire Middle East. Especially the Iran, Syria, Israel and Bulgaria were strongly represented,“ reports Hakan Sağkal. The manager is extraordinarily satisfied with the outcome of the fair: "Not only was the high quality of the customer contacts pleasing to us but at the end of the day their number also exceeded our target expectations by 100%!“
