Photovoltaics: Plasmatreat at the SOLAREX 2011
Plasmatreat presented itself at the SOLAREX 2011 in Istanbul for the very first time. This international fair which takes place annually in springtime, is deemed the most important platform for vendors from the solar and photovoltaic industries of regions such as the Middle East, Russia, Eastern Europe and Africa.
Having been invited by Stäubli, one of the internationally leading manufacturers of textile machinery and industrial robots, Hakan Sagkal (CEO at Plasmatreat Turkey and President MEA Region) and Oktay Aydın (Technical Sales Manager at Plasmatreat Turkey) presented at Stäubli's booth the latest developments in Openair® technology for application on photovoltaic solar modules.
The focus was on primer-free microfine cleaning and activation of the surfaces of various solar module components by means of plasma in preparation of the subsequent adhesive bonding and coating processes. Guided by a Stäubli robot, a rotary nozzle of type RD 1004 gave the specialist audience a live demonstration of the accuracy with which sensitive surfaces are treated by Openair® plasma.
