Chinaplas 2011 – Plasmatreat demonstrates market leadership

At the this year's Chinaplas, Asia's most significant fair for the plastic and caoutchouc industry, Plasmatreat directed the focus toward the diversity of its worldwide industrial applications.

The market for plastic material is extremely large in China. Forecasts indicate that China's share in global plastic consumption will go up to as much as 25% in a few years. For this market of the future, over 2200 international exhibitors gathered at the trade fair. Apart from Plasmatreat, more than a 100 other German companies were represented in the "German Pavilion".

For Plasmatreat, the plastic processing industry is the largest field of application. The high activation effect of Openair® plasma on a plastic surface not only ensures far better long-time stable adhesion of bondings, imprints or coatings than other pretreatment methods but often actually makes new material composites feasible at all.

Besides the rotary nozzle RD1004 which was moved by a 3-axle robot, a very special booth attraction earned the Plasmatreat team headed by Calvin Chen (Director, Plasmatreat China) the permanent interest of the trade visitors - an interactive video presentation portal. Using a touch screen display, the visitors start by browsing for their industrial branch of interest. The list is lengthy and extends from automotive construction via medicine and electronics, from packaging technique via consumer goods, and from transportation via the textile industry through to the renewable energies. No matter which branch the interested visitor chooses - it just takes another "touch" and a video impressively demonstrates on the screen various plasma applications which have already been realized for the type of industrial branch in question.

Calvin Chen summarizes the results of the successful trade fair appearance: "Plasmatreat has convincingly demonstrated its global market leadership in atmospheric plasma nozzle technology. Given the numerous new business contacts with China's plastic industry, we can look back on the Chinaplas 2011 with a great deal of satisfaction."
