Plasma technology: Openair® plasma, surface treatment with atmospheric pressure plasma

In-line solutions

By inventing Openair® plasma  technology Plasmatreat has for the first time rendered plasma usable under atmospheric conditions on a large industrial scale for pretreating the surfaces of materials. A special feature of this technology is that it is used in-line, i.e. integrated into the existing process workflow. Costly process reorganisation or even the setting up of clean rooms or sealed chambers is not necessary.

Zero-potential pretreatment without damaging surfaces

In contrast with other processes, through the use of Openair® plasma even particularly sensitive surfaces can be activated or cleaned. Due to the zero-potential, contactless pretreatment it is now possible to treat delicate products, e.g. metallised DVDs, capacitors or electronic circuits, highly selectively and without causing any damage.

The process is not complicated and absolutely unharmful to the environment. Only air, electric power and the existing production line are needed.
